Troubleshooting Creation and Editing
Guides solutions when intake, story plan, storyline, skeleton, style, or final deck generation stalls or produces unexpected results.
When troubleshooting creation issues, first determine which step is stuck. Intake question repetition, story generation delay, skeleton failure, style processing, credit shortage, and editing conflicts each have different causes and fixes.
Check the Current Step
Check by Status
Intake
Verify question submission conditions, attachment completion, and any conflicting answers.
Story Plan / Storyline
Confirm data context, additional questions, and generation status.
Skeleton
Check slide generation progress, failed cards, and canvas state.
Style / Final Deck
Verify style completion, selection status, and finalization conditions.
All AI Work
Check available credits and reserved balance in the workspace.
When Creation Takes Long
- Do not press the same create button again.
- More slides or attachments can increase the time.
- If the network disconnects, reopen the project to check server status.
- Even if the browser tab is closed, verify that the result was saved in recent projects.
- Check that the number of completed cards in the processing card increases.
- If nothing changes for a while, refresh and retry only once.
When Intake Questions Repeat
- Restate audience, purpose, and length in one sentence.
- Ensure options and free‑form inputs do not conflict.
- Verify that all required questions have answers.
- Check if attachments are still uploading.
- Confirm the scope with a statement like "Proceed with the story plan under the current conditions."
When Story Plan or Storyline Results Are Weak
- Write more specific decisions needed after the presentation.
- Specify which documents to prioritize.
- List the evidence that must be included and the outdated material to exclude.
- Verify that the slide count is sufficient to cover important content.
- Explain audience background knowledge and concerns.
- Instead of recreating everything at once, fix only the incorrect sections.
When Skeleton Generation Fails
- 1
Check the error on the failed card
Record the error message and the number of completed slides before a simple retry.
- 2
Inspect the storyline
Look for empty slides, overly long content, or complex charts without data.
- 3
Reduce the scope
Cut the slide count or simplify complex chapters into plain text or card structure.
- 4
Check credits and network
Distinguish between insufficient balance and connection loss.
- 5
Retry once
After correcting the problematic input, re‑run and wait for the status.
When Style Is Not Completed or Applied
- Confirm that the style status is complete.
- Verify that a style is selected in the current project.
- Check if a pre‑final deck confirmation step is required.
- Ensure reference images are supported formats and within the maximum count.
- Refresh the style list before recreating the same style.
- Verify that the current workspace and project match.
When Ask Rhetis Edits Are Not Reflected
- Precisely select the slide or block to quote.
- Include target, purpose, change, and retention conditions in one sentence.
- Reduce the entire deck request to a single block request.
- Use specific numbers or phrases instead of vague references like "keep the previous wording."
- If the reference should be based on attachments, specify the file name or Knowledge topic.
- After editing, refresh the canvas to ensure it is up to date.
When Editing Conflicts Appear
Multiple users editing the same project or working from an old tab can conflict with the latest canvas.
- Ask teammates about the current edit status.
- Copy important local text.
- Reload the latest project.
- Avoid editing the same block simultaneously.
- Coordinate large changes first via comments or messages.
When Credits Are Insufficient
- Check the current workspace balance.
- Verify if some credits are reserved for in‑progress work.
- Wait until the reservation for failed work is released.
- Request a top‑up from an authorized user.
- After topping up, run the paused work once more.
Do not delete the entire project immediately when a creation error occurs. If the story plan, storyline, and existing canvas remain, you can recover from that step.
